Prostate MRI scan
Magnetic resonance imaging of the prostate can detect prostate cancer at a very early stage, which greatly improves the chances of treating the disease.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among Finnish men, affecting over 5,000 males every year. Although prostate cancer is often thought to be something that older men suffer from, it is also the most common cancer in working-age males. The disease is treacherous in the sense that it rarely exhibits obvious symptoms in the early stages.
When prostate cancer is suspected, MRI is the most reliable imaging method and an easy way for the customer to get a clear idea of his prostate health.
Typical symptoms and reasons for a prostate scan include an elevated PSA level in a blood test, urination problems and other vague pains in the pelvic area.
