Cervical vertebrae MRI scan

The most common reasons for seeking an MRI scan of the cervical vertebrae are severe or prolonged pain in the neck, head and upper back, dizziness, neck misalignment, disc prolapses and degeneration of the joint surfaces.

Often, the cause of numbness in the hands can also be identified with a cervical MRI scan.

Inflammatory changes and tumours can also be reliably detected with a neck scan. An MRI scan is often performed before physiotherapy and surgical procedures.
